Lindsey Meyers is a photographer & mixed media artist. Her work can been seen in the cutting edge publication RAW 2008 and is featured on www.saddercity.com. She'll be showing monthly at the Flat Iron Arts Building in Wicker Park, Chicago as part of the Flat Iron Artists' Association's "First Friday" and smart Show series. Laura Prieto-Velasco has been working as a metalsmith for the past 10 years. Originally from Philadelphia, she spent some time in California, and is now trying on the Midwest for size. Laura's been focusing on jewlery/sculpture/installation) and living in Chicago (the Bucktown/Wicker Park area). Back in CA, Laura worked part-time as a 60's go-go dancer for "Rewind" and "Orange Kiss," but these days she's turned her attentions to learning how to flamenco dance and she's currently working at the Art Institute of Chicago as a Light Metals Technician for the Sculpture Department. She has taught workshops on a variety of topics such as casting natural materials and 3-D digital media. [Read more here.]
